An unfinished narrative animation exploring Arawn, the Celtic lord of the Otherworld, as a quiet guide between life and what lies beyond.

Traditionally associated with shadow, war, and decay, this interpretation presents Arawn in a more contemplative form – melancholic, watchful, and bound to the eternal cycle. The Triquetra woven into his cloak symbolises no beginning and no end, reflecting the spiritual continuum of life, death, and rebirth.

The journey leads toward a final gate, where the soul may choose its return to the natural world, completing the cycle and beginning anew.

Developed during my MA Illustration course, the project marked an early exploration into Celtic symbolism, mythic narrative, and folkloric visual language. Though unfinished, it remains closely tied to my cultural roots and continues to inform my evolving practice, with future expansion intended.
